I would have liked to do something harder because this was too easy for me.
Now i plan to do something harder then this task we did today because it was to easy.

I thought this was hard because it took me so long to think of a fairy tale to think about for one of my task

It was tricky because some of the definitions were hard to write, Next time i want to do this again because this is fun .

What we had to do : we had to translate the maori words into English.

Reflection
This was easy because i am maori and i know maori words and what they mean.

Fractions

What i did

so i had 3/4 of 16 = i don't know so you want to cut your circle into quarters. then you want to get two different color 4 too. now you have the 3  and you want two put 3 colored 4 in your circle
and the rest with the  other color and you  add how much 3/4 is and its 12 because
3 x 4= 12

My Reflection

It was easy when i started but it got harder and harder but then i got it.
Next time i want to do this again because it was fun to do fractions of a whole.

Features of Non fiction and fiction

I am learning to learn what are the difference of Non fiction and fiction.

My Reflection

It was hard because i didn't know witch one was witch so i ask and they told me so i learned what was the difference.

Today we were learning about friction. I thought it was tricky because i never learnt about friction before only fraction and now i know what friction is. Now i want to do the tumbling boards again with the two big marbles.

Amusement Park or Beach

My Reflection

We were learning that what will be better the amusement park or the beach i thought the amusement park because there are lots of games and the beach for adults because they can relax. I thought this was easy because i have gone to a amusement park and there are food carts and lots of rides and mini games so i just put all of those things into my report.

Today in class we were learning how to make a Reader Response. I thought this was easy because all we had to do was to respond to some stuff on the white board like How do you feel about this poem? You had to put it in to a sentence  or 2.   Now I plan to do another response on  another poem or story.

Today we were learning to try and gust how many dots or something else.
I thought this was easy because all you had to do is put some pitchers on a slide and then  on the next slide you put some answers and working out on.

Today we did Adding -es or -s , Present tense (happening now) and  Past tense . I thought was this was a little bit easy because i needed my friend to help me with some of this spelling work sheet.

Today my teacher read a story called little red riding hood. Then we started a Venn Diagram so all we had to do is we had to compare characters.

 Today I was doing a Venn Diagram. This was easy because when I was a year four we did a Venn Diagram with my last year teacher . Now I plan to find a harder story to do .

My Refection
Today I was learning to make a chart. I want to learn more about nouns and verbs because when I first started this chart I thought it was going to take me a while because I forgot what nouns and verbs were about. I am most proud that I finished the chart.

Today in my reading we are doing I before e, except after c”. The most important thing I have learnt is  I before e, except after c” but in some words it's different like height. Now I plan to use harder words using

It was hard to trice the picture because it had lots of  detail and  the black keep blending in with the brighter colors .So first we had to trice the picture   the teacher gave us. Then we had to color it in with pastel. We chose the loyal loins name because we
 take risk and because loyal loins go with take risk.  Loins are loyal and very smart and they are brave. This year I want to work on doing stuff instead of the teacher telling me and want to work on helping others when they need help.      

Swimming

In the holidays I went to the Swimming pools in Panmure with Curtis , my Papa and my Whaea.  We went on thursday when it was a bright and sunny day at 11 o'clock.

First  

when we got there me and my brother got a slide pass and a diving board pass. So when we got inside me and my brother Jumped into the indoor pools. When we jumped in I put  my goggles on then I started to do some breath strokes , freestyles

and back strokes.

After

that me and my brother went on the slide and the diving board My brother did some bombs and pencil drops and I went down the slide about six times,it was dark inside the slide.

Finally

Me and Curtis went back into the indoor pools and we did some awesome bombs and jumps in the pool  and then we played a game in the pool . So first we had to line up in the pool and we used 4 people then all the people had to move back 1 step then the back person comes to the front and swim under the person  leds into  

you get up to when you can’t do it any more. Then Finally we went for a shower and went home.

Maths Word Problems

WALT: find the key info in a question

Kimberly bought stamps at the post office. Some of the stamps had a snowflake design, some had a truck design, and some had a rose design. Kimberly bought 3 snowflake stamps. She bought 5 more truck stamps than snowflake stamps, and 6 fewer rose stamps than truck stamps. How many stamps did Kimberly buy in all?

snow flakes = 3
trucks = 8
rose = 2

5 more trucks than snow flakes
6 less rose than trucks

She brought 3 snow flakes stamps and
there is 5 more truck stamps than snow flakes 5+3=8 so there are 8 truck stamps. 

She brought 8 truck stamps and there is 6 less rose stamps than trucks 8-6=2 so there are 2 rose stamps.

8+2=10+3=13

total:13

My Refection
I was learning to use word problems.
It was easy because all you had to do is read the word problem and put the words you need like she brought 3 snow flake stamps and because it said there is 5 more truck stamps than snow flake stamps. Next time i want to do and higher level word problem then this.

Welcome to my learning blog for year 5 in 2016.This year I am in Room 25. My teacher is Miss Fisher. I enjoy swimming, maths, art and reading . My goal for this year is to move up In my maths. I am looking forward to learning new stuff. I hope you enjoy my blog and leave some feedback for me.
